Take the driver out of the car and what do you get? Heaven or hell? Will the rise of the robocar lead to a revolution in safety and change how cities allocate public space? Or will pedestrians and cyclists get pushed aside to make way for Skynet? Aaron, Sarah and Doug tackle these questions and more as we anticipate the imminent arrival of our autonomous vehicle overlords.

Thanks for listening!
Hi,
Thanks for the podcast. Nice idea! For general improvement you do need some non-US input…
What I missed in this episode:
By your opininin what or how would be the relation between AV or RC (remote controlled; not robot cars) and bikes/cyclists? Assuming that the algorithm and sensors of RC would recognise them and respect the law, than there might be no more dangerous situations on roads where RC and cyclists share the roads/lane. A RC will keep the right distance when overtaking a bike and would not be speeding. Wouldn’t it?
